What is Bandai Head Office?
The tour spaces on the first and second floors of the Bandai head office building in Taito-ku, Tokyo are open to the general public. In the tour space, there are many toys and goods made by Bandai from the past, and you can learn about Bandai’s history!
I visited Bandai’s headquarters building, which is always used by Digimon!
I went there to see the blackboard art for the 25th anniversary of Digimon Animation.

About Bandai Head Office “Bandai Museum”
The first and second floors of Bandai Co., Ltd.’s head office building are open to the public as the exhibition space “Bandai Museum.” A wide range of toys are on display, from toys from the early Showa era to the latest toys, from toys for boys to girls. It is a spot that can be enjoyed by both men and women of all ages, including Bandai fans as well as tourists passing by.
"Bandai Head Office Building 1st to 2nd Floor Exhibition Tour" ・Visiting hours: 11:00-17:00 ・Last entry 16:30 ・Photography of products/exhibits OK *Exhibition tours are closed on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, summer and winter vacations, and company-designated holidays. *Visits may not be possible due to in-house events, etc. *Prohibited matters: Resting/sitting down, taking pictures of receptionists/persons, no eating or drinking, no gaming, requests to sell products, visiting people who are unwell, visiting people who are drinking, touching products/exhibits.
This time, I mainly visited to see the “Agumon statue” and “blackboard art” that were built to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Digimon Animation. I didn’t know it was open to the public until now, so I was very interested. I am very grateful that photography is allowed and admission is free!
How to get to Bandai Headquarters “Bandai Museum”
The location of Bandai Head Office Building is: 1-4-8 Komagata, Taito-ku, Tokyo.
How to access Bandai Head Office Building [Railway] ・Tokyo Metro Ginza Line Asakusa Station → 3 minutes walk ・Toei Oedo Line Kuramae Station → 5 minutes walk ・Toei Asakusa Line Asakusa Station → 3 minutes walk ・Tobu Railway Asakusa Station → 3 minutes walk [bus] ・Tozai Megurin Bus Asakusa Fire Station → 1 minute walk
Anyway, it’s about a 5 minute walk from Asakusa’s Sensoji Temple and Kaminarimon, so you don’t have to worry about the route too much. You can easily find it by searching for Bandai Head Office Building.
There is also Bandai Building 2 in the surrounding area, but you cannot visit there ^^;

The highlight of the museum at Bandai’s headquarters is the display of toys and goods.
Organized by chronology and theme, you’re sure to find an exhibit you’ll like!

There was an arrow signboard pointing to “Bandai Museum” on the right side of the entrance.
2F “Bandai History”
“Bandai History” on the 2nd floor of Bandai’s head office building displays past toys and toys from Bandai’s founding in a chronological format.
1996 – “Tamagotchi” “Digital Monster”
June 1997 “Digital Monster” This is the memorable first digital monster! I was so impressed that it was preserved in its original packaging!
This time we focused on Digimon, but there are also many other toys on display, including Kamen Rider, Sentai series, PreCure series, and more!
2F “Toys and Toys Exhibition”
The “LCD toys” corner is an exhibition of Bandai’s representative brands. “Tamagotchi Chronology” “Digimon Series”
Exhibition of the Digimon series, although not all of it is displayed in the valuable original packaging.
Bandai Spirits Exhibition Figure-rise Standard There were many cool exhibits such as Omegamon'' andWarGreymon” as well as many other plastic models and combined robots.
“Narikiri/Transformation” Corner Exhibition of transformation goods from various series such as “Sailor Moon,” “Ojamajo Doremi,” and “PreCure”
“Bandai’s overseas expansion” An exhibition of Bandai’s products that are loved all over the world, and the packaging seems to be different between the Japanese domestic version and the overseas version.
There are so many exhibits, but when you see toys and goods from your favorite anime works or works you have seen before, you will stop and look at them.

This blackboard art is so delicate that you can’t tell it’s drawn with chalk unless you tell me! The coloring is very beautiful and the shading and facial expressions are faithful to the original painting!

I went to see the Digimon blackboard art of “Digimon meets CREATORS” which was the main purpose of this visit! I was surprised at how nice the colors were and how detailed and realistic the lines were! It will be viewed through acrylic to protect it, but I’d like you to see it up close!
It is displayed near the stairs on the second floor, so be careful not to miss it.
It’s likely to be a limited-time exhibition, so please hurry.

Bandai’s head office building is located in Taito-ku, Tokyo.
Although the tour was over, I still had some time to take a walk around the area.
I went to the Asakusa area, which is about a 5-minute walk from the Bandai headquarters building.

浅草「浅草寺・雷門」
Sensoji Temple and Kaminarimon were crowded with many tourists. If you pass through Kaminarimon and proceed down Nakamise Street, you will arrive at the main hall of Sensoji Temple.
By the way, it is said that 70% of the fortunes in Sensoji’s fortunes are bad , making it very difficult to get good fortune.It is said that it is good to be happy when your luck improves, rather than feeling depressed even if you get a bad luck. .
Asakusa “Azumabashi”
You can see the 634m tall Tokyo Sky Tree from Azumabashi Bridge, which is about a 3-minute walk from the Kaminarimon Gate of Sensoji Temple, the unique golden Asahi Beer Headquarters Building in the shape of a beer mug, and the golden flame object on the right.
It is a spectacular spot where the Tokyo Sky Tree, Asahi Beer Headquarters, and golden flames are lined up side by side.
Sky Tree is 634 meters from Musashi no Kuni, and a restaurant and bar are open in the foam part of the Beer Building. The golden flame was originally planned to be erected, but for safety reasons, it was decided to lie down.
