The memorable first work of Digimon Animation.

The theme song “Butter-Fly” and the insert song “Brave Heart” are very famous.

Since the anime was developed at the same time as the genesis of digital monsters, no one knew anything about the ultimate form, and as a viewer at the time, I was excited to see what kind of evolved form would appear. I did.

I miss the days when I looked forward to each week, admiring and supporting the chosen children.

Since Digimon Adventure was well received, a sequel was also in production.

The second installment of the Digimon anime series.

An ambitious work that explores new evolutions and forms of adventure while following the worldview of adventure.

The selected children from the first adventure appeared as seniors, and new children who inherited the crest appeared, which fascinated viewers at the time.

It was also an ambitious work, with the final episode depicting the relationship between the adult children and their partners.

This is the third work in the newly produced Digimon anime series, as the adventure series that had continued until the previous year ended.

A complete change from the traditional fighting style in which children simply support and watch over the evolved Digimon, this work is closer to the perspective of children, with Tamers fighting together while supporting their partner Digimon through Digimon cards.

The worldview of children coexisting with Digimon while going about their daily lives, and setting out on a journey to an unknown digital world at their own will has become a hot topic.

In the evolution of the ultimate form, it becomes one body with the Digimon, expressing new possibilities for Digimon.

The fourth work in the Digimon anime series, an ambitious work in which human children evolve into Digimon using spirits that contain Digimon abilities.

Since there was no partner Digimon, there was a lot of interaction between humans and between Digimon and humans. The last part of the story is a moving development that I personally love!

Although it is the last of the so-called Digimon trilogy, many settings and foreshadowings that will lead to the future of Digimon, such as Royal Knights and Three Archangel Digimon, were left behind.

It was originally produced as a theatrical release, but due to various circumstances, it was broadcast on the Fuji TV network, making it the first Digimon anime series to be entirely CG-animated.

Because it is treated as a special program, it may not be counted as part of the Digimon anime series, but as a full-length CG anime, it is a work that left a great contribution in the history of Digimon anime.

There were a lot of new Digimon elements, such as the prototype Digimon Dormon, the X-Antibody, the X-evolution, the X-evolution of death, the Royal Knights, and more.

This is the fifth installment of the Digimon anime series, three years after the end of Frontier’s broadcast.

Unlike the original Digimon 4, the main character is now a junior high school student, and his body size and character design have been completely redesigned. Agumon is once again the main character, but the evolution route has changed and many new Digimon have appeared.

Although there are various factors such as the reduction in media development such as anime magazines and the reduction in the distribution of toys and CD goods, it seems that the audience ratings did not increase much and it was not made into a serial Digimon anime series.

*Since the method of measuring viewership ratings by Video Research in Japan has changed since 2002, it is no longer possible to compare viewership ratings with works made before 2002.

The 6th installment of the Digimon anime series.

One major difference from traditional Digimon is that it gains power through fusion rather than evolution. In addition, the main character Digimon have levels such as growth and maturity, and attributes such as vaccines and viruses are not set.

Although it aired for three seasons, it was also the first Digimon work that was not released on DVD or Blu-ray.

There was also a major change in the broadcasting station, such as moving from the morning slot of the Fuji TV network to the prime time slot of the TV Asahi network.

A work created as part of the Digimon Universe, where the main characters are Appli Monsters who are not Digimon. It is counted as the 7th work in the Digimon anime series.

Each Appmon has abilities that imitate smartphone applications, and they can be combined to power up through Applinks. The levels follow the evolution from “Normal Appmon → Super Appmon → Extreme Appmon → God Appmon”.

There are Appmon with the same name as Digimon, and there are also individuals that are somewhat similar as homage, but they are different entities.

It has been widely used in games, manga, various events, etc.

By the way, no other Digimon Universe works have been produced yet.

The 8th work in the Digimon anime series.

A reboot of the original Digimon Adventure

Simply put, the “: (colon)” that follows the word adventure means “equals,” such as “that means/that is.” Since it is a reboot work, there seems to be a sense of emphasis on it.

The story is very different from the original Digimon Adventure, which aired in 1999, and shows a completely different development. Although the main character is the same, there are changes in the evolution destination, and everyone has an ultimate evolution destination, so that they can respect and entertain the fans of the original work.

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus, broadcasting of this work was temporarily suspended from April 26, 2020, and was postponed for about two months until broadcasting resumed on June 28.
